During the early years, Darboy was a wayside for travelers on the military road between Kaukauna and Lake Winnebago. The original settlement, called St. Martin's Community is said to have been just east of the present town, along the plank road. For many years the settlement was know as Buchanan.
Now the Darboy area is the fastest growing part of the Fox River Valley and the State of Wisconsin. While Darboy has never attracted a large industrial interest it has become a important retail and restaurant center for the residents of the Heart of the Valley. From national retail stores to quaint, local eateries the Darboy area has something for everyone.
